Heavy Duty Clutch Mechanisms with Adapters Operation Friction type heavy duty clutch mechanism engages with air pressure, spring released when air is exhausted Torque is linear in response to air pressure applied Mounting Through/Mid Shaft or End of Shaft Heavy duty clutch mechanism slides on shaft and is fixed with set screws and a customer supplied key Adapter connects to a fully supported, bearing mounted pulley, gear or sprocket Anti-rotation arm required to prevent rotation of the air housing Heavy duty clutch mechanisms are designed for horizontal mounting. *Low coefficient lining models are offered for applications where a small amount of slip is required or a narrower torque range is necessary. For continuous slip or tension control applications, a SensiFlex® clutch should be used.
